For the group exhibition For The Record at gallery Krets in Malmö, I utilized my Swedish hippie / native American alter ego once again. I made a video where I translate a passage from the Swedish national anthem using native American sign language. This work, “Thou Ancient, Thou Free” (2014) was produced as a response to race-related riots in Malmö and the current right-wing, anti-immigrant tendencies sweeping across Europe.
